Evvy is again an official The Webby Awards Nominee! This year, we're nominated in Social - Public Service & Activism for our campaign, "100 Effed Facts About the Gender Health Gap". 🙌 ⚫ Spanning everything from cancer to menopause to vaginal health and beyond, "100 Effed Facts About the Gender Health Gap" is one of the most comprehensive compilations of gender health gap facts ever created. Designed with huge graphic holes — literal gaps — on every asset, the campaign instills a sense of loss, shock, and anger, plus the motivation to fix it. This recognition is meaningful not just for our team, but for the broader mission we’re working toward: creating a world in which women and people with vaginas receive the research, care, and answers they deserve. NEW: dedicated Fertility Insights with every Evvy test 💡✨ Groundbreaking research suggests that the vaginal microbiome plays a role in fertility—impacting everything from implantation to outcomes in IVF and IUI. Yet this information has never been widely accessible in fertility care… until now. 🔑 Starting today, all Evvy test results will include dedicated Fertility Insights, measuring four Microbiome Markers associated with fertility: ✔ Protective Score– The percent of protective bacteria. Research associates higher levels with positive fertility outcomes.¹ ✔ Microbiome Diversity Score– How many different kinds of bacteria you have — research suggests fewer is better. ✔ Fertility Disruptors– Checks for five bacteria: Fannyhassae, Gardnerella, Prevotella, Sneathia, and Ureaplasma. ✔ STI Screening (*add-on only) – Checks for 4 STIs: chlamydia, gonorrhea, Mycoplasma genitalium, and trich. With these insights, Evvy is bridging the gap between the latest research and real-world fertility care. 🔬 Learn more about our vaginal microbiome test and fertility insights at evvy.com/fertility Launch story: https://lnkd.in/ggMfkiqN —— 🔬 Explore the research behind Fertility Insights: 1. 🔬 Evvy, the company focusing on closing the gender health gap through vaginal microbiome biomarkers, has expanded its flagship Vaginal Microbiome Test to include fertility insights. The new capabilities provide information on how the vaginal microbiome affects reproductive health. The update addresses the connection between vaginal microbiome health and fertility outcomes, an area where research has shown significant correlations. According to the company, one-third of all infertility cases are diagnosed as “unexplained,” and vaginal microbial imbalances have been linked to infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and preterm birth. 🤰 💬 “For too long, fertility has been treated like a black box — leaving millions of people searching for answers with no clear path forward. I'm pleased to announce the addition of David Lyttle, Ph.D., Senior Bioinformatics Scientist, Evvy, to the speaking faculty for the 10th Annual Translational Microbiome Conference (https://lnkd.in/dF9GD4m) on April 10-11, 2025 in Boston. In his presentation, Dr. Lyttle will provide insights from a large-scale study of microbial taxa and biochemical pathways. Vaginitis affects up to 30% of women globally and is a leading cause of gynecological visits, with vaginal odor being the most frequently reported and distressing symptom. Despite its prevalence, the microbial and biochemical mechanisms driving odor remain poorly understood, limiting therapeutic advances. Evvy's latest research analyzed patient-reported data and shotgun metagenomic sequencing from 6,585 non-menopausal individuals, identifying seven bacterial taxa linked to odor severity. We also uncovered a significant association between the putrescine pathway and severe odor cases. These findings pave the way for translating metagenomic insights into clinical tools for precision diagnostics and targeted treatments in vaginal health. Join us at this year's event, where our speakers from both academia and industry will be sharing cutting-edge microbiome research.
