  • Happy National Pet Day! 🐶 😺 💟 Let’s spread some love and joy to our furry friends today, especially the ones without loving humans or from families who could use a little more cheer in their lives. At Embrace, we believe that giving back to our community is as important as the work we do. On National Pet Day, we’re excited to share a glimpse of our commitment to pets and their owners in 2025. In this video, you’ll see Logan, one of our amazing team members picking up treats for Embrace to support local organizations like PetFix Northeast Ohio, Rescue Village, and Neighborhood Pets. These nonprofits play a vital role in ensuring our pets receive the care they need and that pet owners have access to essential resources. Join us in celebrating the love and companionship pets bring into our lives on this day and every day. Where should we go next to help our furry friends? #Embrace #NationalPetDay #Pets #tailsofIPH

  • At Embrace Pet Insurance, 2024 was a record breaking year of compassion, community, and commitment. Our team donated over 3,000 volunteer hours and raised $788,000 for nonprofits which was an 88% and 56% increase from the previous year, respectively. From supporting local shelters and national nonprofits to uplifting marginalized communities and nurturing future veterinarians, we’re proud of the ripple effect our work continues to create. Our EmbraceCLE Challenge, launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, has now raised $1.2 million for Northeast Ohio organizations in just five years. We also introduced the Embrace Veterinary Scholarship in partnership with AVMF, investing in students dedicated to careers in shelter medicine. These initiatives go beyond pet insurance and reflect our mission to make a meaningful difference for animals and their people. Thank you to every employee, partner, and community member who joined us on this journey. Your heart, time, and dedication are the reason we’re able to Embrace what matters most. • Clumping or non-clumping? that is the litter-ary question! Clumping litter makes scooping a breeze and tends to keep things cleaner (your cat will thank you). Non-clumping absorbs moisture but needs more frequent full changes to keep smells in check. Ultimately, it comes down to what works best for your kitty and your cleaning style! #catparents #pettips #catlife #embraceyourpets https://lnkd.in/eqc7wDFv

  • What you need to know about the bird flu and how it's affecting dogs & cats. Bird flu is a contagious virus mainly affecting birds, but in rare cases, dogs and cats can get sick too especially if they come into contact with infected birds, raw poultry, or contaminated areas. Symptoms in pets may include coughing, fever, breathing issues, and low energy. Pets that spend time outdoors or near wild birds are at higher risk. To keep your pets safe, limit their exposure to wild birds, avoid feeding raw poultry, and keep them indoors when possible. If your pet shows signs of illness after possible exposure, contact your vet right away. Staying alert and practicing good hygiene can help prevent bird flu from spreading to your pets. Thank you to our wonderful Embracer for coming on and dropping some knowledge for us 💜

  • Periodontal disease affects over 80% of dogs and 70% of cats by age three making pet dental care essential. Plaque buildup transforms into tartar that leads to gingivitis, bad breath, and even systemic health issues affecting the heart, kidneys, and liver. Brushing pet teeth daily with pet-safe toothpaste, along with regular professional dental cleanings, are proven methods to reduce plaque and prevent periodontal disease, ensuring your pet’s overall oral health. Dental hygiene, including VOHC approved dental chews, water additives, and dental gels, plays a key role in combating plaque buildup and maintaining healthy gums. By incorporating routines such as daily brushing, using dental treats that mechanically scrape away buildup, and choosing dental diets formulated for abrasion and chemical plaque control, pet parents can significantly lower the risk of dental disease. Veterinary dental care under anesthesia is crucial to remove subgingival tartar that home care can’t reach, further protecting your pet’s dental hygiene. Investing time in pet dental care not only results in fresh breath and a bright smile but also promotes long-term health and longevity. From effective brushing techniques and regular vet check-ups to specialized dental diets and chews, everything contributes to superior pet oral health. #PetDentalHealth #OralHealthForPets #BrushingPetTeeth #PeriodontalPrevention #HealthyPetSmile #embrace
