Last year, we made a significant step into the 🇨🇱 Chilean market with the acquisition of a large-scale solar and long-duration storage portfolio from Grenergy—totaling 452 MWp of #solarPV and 2.5 GWh of #BESS (400MW, up to 6.5 hours). James lee Stancampiano, our South America General Manager, recently spoke with BNamericas about the game-changing potential of hybrid PV and battery storage. Yesterday, we participated in the Fitch Ratings & Sustainable Fitch #ESG Breakfast in #Milan 2025, to discuss the latest developments in Italy's sustainability landscape. Our Global Head of Financing, Claudio Pisi Vitagliano, contributed to the panel "Sustainable Debt Markets: Issuer Perspective," moderated by Craig Gosnell, alongside Gabriele Florian (Snam S.p.A.) and Paolo Alessio Viganò (A2A). He highlighted #ContourGlobal's vision for renewable energy expansion through an approach that combines new renewable investments with sustainable financing.   The recent issuance of our first corporate-level Green Bonds demonstrates this strategy and reflects strong investor confidence in our transformation strategy from both European and U.S. markets. At the basis of the issuance, ContourGlobal’s Green Bond Framework was independently reviewed by Sustainable Fitch, resulting in a Second Party Opinion rating of “Excellent” and confirming its alignment with recognized sustainability principles and the ICMA - International Capital Market Association (#ICMA) Green Bond Principles 2021. Oops, we did it again! 🎉🏆   For the second year in a row, we’ve been recognized at the #IJGlobalAwards!   Last week, at the iconic Gotham Hall in New York, our Head of Americas, Fernando Gonzalez, proudly accepted the award for Refinance of the Year 2024 – Latin America for a $525 million #refinancing deal secured for our 518 MW cogeneration portfolio in #Mexico, which includes highly efficient plants in Veracruz and Tamaulipas. An achievement that follows our 2023 win for Refinance Deal of the Year – Solar Europe for our Italian PV refinancing project.   As the IJGlobal judges highlighted about our project: “The financing structure addresses the unique characteristics of the portfolio, including plurality of offtakers and PPA structures, the recontracting nature of revenues, as well as navigating Mexico’s political and regulatory environment.”   This recognition make us incredibly proud of the teamwork across our organization—from operations and commercial teams to our support functions in HR and legal—all working together under the leadership of our Financing team, which continues to deliver major milestones for our financial strategy. Recent successes include our U.S. asset refinancing and the issuance of our first #GreenBond.   But this award is also a reflection of the trust and collaboration with our financial partners. Our transformation into a predominantly renewable Independent Power Producer #IPP includes a firm commitment to exiting coal well before our 2027 target. Globally, the energy sector employs over 67 million people, and preliminary International Energy Agency (IEA) data from last year suggests further growth.
