NYC Mayor's Office of Contract Services reposted this
After six months of on-the-job training, 15 #NYCHAResidents have completed the Heating Plant Technician Trainee Program, gaining essential skills to maintain NYCHA’s heat and hot water systems. 👏 “At NYCHA, we invest in training because a well-trained employee provides better service to our residents and the city at large, and strengthens our workforce. We’re grateful for public-private partnerships like this one between New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), City Tech, CUNY, Con Edison, and the Public Housing Community Fund, to create on-the-job training opportunities for our residents and future colleagues.” — Dr. Tischelle George, Ed.D., Vice President, Learning and Development #NYCHA #PublicHousing
