We’re pleased to announce that, on behalf of a fund sponsored by CBRE IM, we have secured €1 billion in new unsecured fund-level finance facilities as part of our revised #debt strategy. These facilities will support the Fund’s growth ambitions and diversify its capital stack. The Fund is now backed by: 🏦 €250 million revolving credit facility (RCF) for equity bridging and working capital. 💰 €300 million unsecured-term loan for medium-term debt to fund new acquisitions and developments. 💶 €450 million short-term unsecured bridge facility. These facilities are provided by five strategic banking partners: ABN AMRO Bank N.V.., BNP Paribas, CA-CIB, HSBC, and ING, each holding an equal 20% stake. In a recent article, IPE Real Assets asks if an ageing population creates opportunities for #realassets investors in Europe. The answer? Yes, but approaches to the sector vary significantly across Europe. For instance, Sander van Riel, Head of Continental Europe, Indirect Real Estate Strategies, said that, though while occupancy on the continent is typically well above 90% “The private pay segment is considerably more expensive in the UK…and the higher rents have encouraged the construction of a number of new facilities.” This means, “it takes much longer to stabilise a new facility in the UK.” You can read all of Sander’s insights here 👇 https://cbreim.co/42kgrxq

Stephen Dowd, CIO of Private Infrastructure, recently participated in a highly insightful discussion during the PEI Infrastructure Investor Network Global Summit in Berlin. Amongst the key topics discussed was the impact of the new U.S. administration on infrastructure: “Two months into the new White House administration, sentiment for the US infrastructure market is cautiously optimistic. The administration's commitment to renewing and modernizing infrastructure, coupled with the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), has set a promising foundation.” #Infrastructureinvestor #IIJA To learn more about our infrastructure views, visit https://cbreim.co/3FChi3U.
