BWXT took to the track literally and figuratively at the Cook Out 400 in Martinsville, Virginia. Our company logo was placed on the hood of the No. 6 Build Submarines Ford, driven by Brad Keselowski. We had employees meeting and greeting with the team, plus Blue Forge Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting careers in the submarine industrial base through www.BuildSubmarines.com. In the spirit of career opportunities, we also had our own recruiters hard at work connecting with race attendees. Overall, it was a great day to support manufacturing and motor sports!

It’s National Welding Month in the US, and we want to celebrate the welders already supporting our mission, and to encourage our future welders, like those at the John D. Haynes School of Welding Technology at Mt. Vernon High School. The welding school provides a direct employment opportunity for students to BWXT’s Mount Vernon, Indiana site. Participants can complete their high school degree and professional welding testing on a dual track, allowing them to join the workforce immediately upon graduation! It's an exciting day at Nuclear 101: A Workshop for Virginia Policymakers and Stakeholders. This event provides a deep background on nuclear energy policy perspectives for elected officials, community leaders and interested policy stakeholders. Our Director of Product Development at BWXT Advanced Technologies LLC, Erik Nygaard, is speaking about Virginia's legacy of developing nuclear technology, and the launch of BWXT's new Innovation Campus: "We are the only company in America that has prototype contracts for the government.
