Americans enjoyed 24,000 metric tons of Scottish salmon last year. Consul General David Clay MBE sampled the exceptional quality that's driving this two-way trade success. 🔬 At DEKA Research & Development in New Hampshire, we explored R&D collaborations that benefit both nations—from healthcare innovations to advanced manufacturing. These partnerships solve shared challenges on both sides of the Atlantic. 🏔️ Productive discussions in Vermont with elected officials, emergency management, and technology innovators BETA TECHNOLOGIES and Vermont Gallium-Nitride Tech Hub focused on key areas for UK-US cooperation: consular, agriculture, engineering, aerospace and semiconductors. UK investment news 🚨     US company Comcast has chosen the UK to build a major new Universal theme park as part of a multibillion-dollar investment. The theme park is expected to attract 8.5 million visitors in its first year alone, creating ~28,000 jobs and generating an estimated $60 billion for the UK economy by 2055 🎢     “We could not be more excited to take this very important step in our plan to create and deliver an incredible Universal theme park and resort in the heart of the United Kingdom, which complements our growing US-based parks business by expanding our global footprint to Europe. It’s official: A Universal theme park is coming to the UK! Building on the success of UK-US creative partnerships that have already brought us incredible Transatlantic productions like Wicked, Harry Potter and Barbie, Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced a new deal with Comcast that will bring more than $63bn to the UK economy and create 28k jobs. The park is set to be one of the largest, most advanced theme parks in Europe and is scheduled to open in 2031.
