Rev. Al Sharpton is threatening a boycott of PepsiCo over its rollback of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, accusing the company of caving to political pressure. In a letter to CEO Ramon Laguarta, Sharpton criticized Pepsi for removing DEI hiring goals and community partnerships, warning that such decisions betray the company’s legacy of supporting Black communities. Sharpton’s National Action Network plans to announce its first DEI-related boycott on April 5, while conservative activists like Robby Starbuck mock the movement and take credit for influencing corporate policy shifts. https://lnkd.in/gK_RDvmP

Despite an amazing LinkedIN profile and an accomplished career, the salary you’ve always counted on to grow is plateauing, declining, or disappearing altogether. You were told to just make it to 65 and glide into the sunset, but you’re arriving with decades more of life expectancy, without the resources to sustain the lifestyle to which you’ve become accustomed. The Trump administration pressured the National Park Service to alter its Underground Railroad narrative, downplaying slavery and Harriet Tubman’s role. Historians say the revised language emphasizes “unity” while erasing the harsh realities of Black oppression and struggle. Critics warn these changes distort U.S. History and contributes to the erasure of Black Americans' fight for justice. https://lnkd.in/gieNXRgr

Donald Trump is promoting a $5 million "Trump Gold Card" — dubbed the “EP Five” — claiming it allows immigrants to buy U.S. citizenship, though no official government approval exists. The pitch mirrors the existing EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, which has allowed foreign nationals to gain residency through investments since 1990. However, Trump’s version appears to be more of a publicity stunt than a legitimate policy. https://lnkd.in/g_d7-paN

The Senate passed Trump’s $5 trillion spending bill by a 51-48 vote, advancing major tax cuts and funding for mass deportation and military expansion. Democrats strongly opposed the bill, calling it a giveaway to the wealthy that endangers safety net programs like Medicare and Medicaid. While they lacked the votes to block it, leaders like Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren vowed to use the bill’s contents to rally public opposition and expose the GOP’s agenda. https://lnkd.in/gC2ZZwMA

Speaking at an anti-Trump rally in D.C., the Texas Democrat compared himself to David facing the "Goliath" of Trump’s influence. Green acknowledged the uphill battle ahead but emphasized his commitment to accountability and spiritual conviction. https://lnkd.in/gm5TcvFc
