“Liberation Day” news triggered the sharpest market drop today since 2020, and our members showed up with questions. Staying invested through periods like these has historically been rewarded. 2️⃣ Tariffs create uncertainty by raising consumer costs and prompting corporate caution—two key reasons markets often react sharply to trade tensions. 3️⃣ Timing the bottom is nearly impossible. Instead, we’re seeing members take a more measured approach—easing in over time to manage risk and capture better entry points as the market evolves. 4️⃣ Diversification still  matters. Safe-haven assets like gold and treasuries are holding steady, while overlooked exposures, like certain commodities and defensive sectors, are showing resilience. Your investment adviser might be able to suggest stock picks or walk you through your portfolio. But can they do it in Gen Z slang? That’s one part of the sales pitch from Arta Finance, a wealth-management startup led by an ex-Google executive and backed by the former chief executive of UBS. Arta is rolling out an AI assistant that can dispense financial advice in spoken conversations—and in any preferred parlance. Here’s one response to a client query, asking the assistant to explain an investment strategy in the style of Gen  Z: “Low-key gonna break down ur investment plan rn… no cap, ur portfolio is fire!” With fees on many financial services under siege, more banks and brokerages are eager to expand into the lucrative advice business. Arta is betting that the twenty and thirty-something millionaire set will value convenience and lower fees —- more than the face-to-face investment guidance of their parents’ generation.
