Our Department of Regenerative and Cancer Cell Biology invites undergraduate college students who are interested in pursuing a career in biomedical research to apply for the PURPOSE summer program. This free, eight-week course offers students hands-on laboratory research experience, as well as guidance on applying the scientific method, designing research questions, developing personal statements, preparing effective research posters, and more. Clinical studies have been key to recent advances in treatments for cystic fibrosis, a genetic, progressive disease. Our adult CF team has been involved in studies for inhaled antibiotics, new breathing devices, and all the major new CF drugs.
