Proud moment: Our very own Dr. Patrick Mangonon and his surgical team have made history as the FIRST IN THE WORLD to use the innovative Pro-Mini AtriClip through robotic surgery on a patient's heart! 🎉 This groundbreaking procedure was performed at AdventHealth Daytona Beach using the cutting-edge DaVinci XI robot as part of a larger treatment for atrial fibrillation. The AtriCure, Inc. team, who developed and manufactures the AtriClip, was on-site to witness this milestone in cardiac care. Dr. Mangonon continues to lead the way in robotic heart procedures, having performed more robotic Hybrid Ablations than any other surgeon in Florida. Since 2019, he has completed nearly 700 robotic heart and lung surgeries at our AdventHealth facilities in Daytona Beach and Palm Coast Parkway. Engaging directly with legislators representing our division, we're advocating for critical health care reforms that will transform patient care across Florida. We're putting patients first by asking policymakers to: ✅ Reform prior authorization processes (because paperwork shouldn't slow down care) ✅ Open up LINE funding to also include Allied Health professionals ✅ Enhance support for behavioral health workers When our leaders step up, real change becomes possible.
