Leaders from our Chamber this week advocated for pro-business, pro-growth policy at the 2025 Illinois Chamber Day in Springfield hosted by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE). A delegation from our Board of Directors, Government Affairs Committee and staff took part. In the morning we heard from Illinois House Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch, Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie, Senate President Don Harmon, and Senate Republican Leader John Curran. We also heard from Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul, IL Chamber staff, and U.S. Chamber of Commerce staff. We then headed over to the Capitol on a busy day for committees to meet with our local legislators. We were able to connect with four of our legislators that represent McLean County and left key information for the remainder. We were glad to meet with State Senator Sally Turner, State Senator Chris Balkema, State Representative Regan Deering, and State Representative Bill Hauter.
