About us
The Board of the Central Illinois Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) welcomes you. Since our beginning in 2005, we have grown to over 200 members from a geographic area that roughly covers Rockford on the north, the Quad Cities on the west, Peoria on the south and Kankakee on the east. Our members work in a variety of healthcare settings, and our chapter is run by a volunteer boardOur goal is to provide local educational and networking opportunities for the advancement of healthcare leaders in our region and improvement of healthcare to the communities we serve. Every quarter, our chapter hosts activities—both in-person events and online webinars—that offer continuing education credit toward ACHE membership. We communicate these events through e-mails and a quarterly newsletter.

That’s a fascinating study! It highlights how small, well-timed interventions can drive meaningful change in hiring practices. Traditional diversity training often focuses on broad awareness, but this research suggests that embedding concise, action-oriented training right before decision-making can yield measurable improvements. The impact on hiring non-nationals is particularly striking—20% is a significant shift. It also reinforces the idea that addressing biases like affinity bias and recency bias in real time can lead to more objective, inclusive decisions. #DEI #diversity #inclusion #ACHECentralILChapter #hiring #onboarding
