Let's hear it for these leaders! #BeInIllinois 👏 Mellody Hobson is co-CEO and president of #Chicago-based Ariel Investments and recently served as chair of Starbucks, becoming the first Black woman to chair an S&P 500 company. She's also penned a best-selling children's book about money. 👏 Linda McGill-Boasmond is owner and president of Cedar Concepts Corporation, the only African American- and woman-owned chemical manufacturing company in the U.S. A leading #manufacturing advocate in Illinois, she also serves as chair of our #TeamIllinois partner, the Illinois Manufacturers' Association. 👏 Dr. Ngozi Ezike is president and CEO of Sinai Chicago, the first Black woman to lead Sinai Chicago in its 103-year history. Prior to joining Sinai, she guided Illinois' response to the Covid-19 pandemic as the medical director of the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). 👏 AJ PATTON is the CEO and founder of the 548 Enterprise, a full-service development and construction company focused on environmental sustainability, lowering utility bills and creating more quality housing for communities of color.
