The Virginia State Corporation Commission has kicked off an accelerated proceeding to (hopefully) resolve the minimum bill that has vexed Shared Solar in Virginia for 5 years, holding back the program from serving more residents in the Commonwealth. Let's get it right and scale this market!

On the heels of last week's financing news with Nuveen, a TIAA company and Deutsche Bank, Dimension has entered an agreement to sell $128 million in tax credits for a 30 project portfolio to a Fortune 500 Company. Reunion Infrastructure facilitated the transaction. We’re thrilled to have this backing to quickly bring new generating capacity onto the grid and offer a low-cost energy choice to more Americans. For Virginia family farmers Christine and Stephen Ault, hosting a Dimension shared solar project on their property allowed them to retire comfortably without having to sell their land. In a new Richmond Times-Dispatch piece, Chris and Steve are advocating for Virginia to fix it’s Shared Solar program to make this option available to more landowners and expand affordable solar energy to more Virginians:

Dimension CEO Rafael Dobrzynski recently weighed in on the implications of big banks leaving the net-zero banking alliance in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:   “We expect reputable financial institutions to continue to invest in this technology regardless of membership in thematic alliances.”   Dimension’s trajectory remains strong; we closed out 2024 with multiple major financing deals that included backing from big banks like Deutsche Bank, First Citizens, and ING. At the end of the day, community solar projects are infrastructure projects that yield a competitive return.
