We're proud to support initiatives like our multi-faith prayer room at Wolverhampton station. For our colleague, Perry, this space has been essential for practicing his faith, especially during Ramadan. The room, decorated for Eid by Perry’s children and appreciated by both our colleagues and friends at West Midlands Trains, serves as a reminder of the railway's commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all. Small acts of inclusivity can make a big impact. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/d67eBtPg

Wishing our colleague Mike the best of luck as he takes on the Wilmslow Half Marathon this weekend! 🏃♂️ Inspired by the impact defibrillators had on saving his friend's life, he is aiming to raise funds for Glossopdale Community Defibs - a community campaign that buys and installs defibrillators in the local area. We were honoured to sponsor and participate in the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Women in Transport round-table on Monday, where we joined industry leaders and parliamentarians to address critical safety concerns affecting women in transport - both colleagues and customers. Our Safeguarding and Crime Manager, Natalie Richbell-Beer, shared: “Everyone should feel safe when traveling on our network, and we are committed to working alongside the industry to address concerns about women’s safety on the railway. This round-table allowed us to explore ways to strengthen existing practices in recognising, responding to, and reporting instances where women feel vulnerable - helping us make a real difference to their experience. As a White Ribbon accredited organisation, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of respect and driving positive change. Through new initiatives and ongoing collaboration, we’re shaping a railway that is safe and secure for all.” Find out more about the APPG meeting here: https://lnkd.in/exCTff4m
