Abdulelah Ragih, a learner from the University of the People, recently completed a virtual internship with ZirconTech—an opportunity that allowed him to apply his academic knowledge in real-world settings while contributing to cutting-edge projects in AI and Web3.   During his internship, Abdulelah worked on initiatives aimed at improving digital inclusion and public safety, fine-tuned AI models using Hugging Face, and even took on a mentoring role within his team. His performance and commitment stood out, ultimately leading to a full-time offer from his host company.   As Martin Machin Cladera, Managing Partner at ZirconTech, shared: “Today, he’s a full-time member of our team, helping drive innovation at the intersection of AI and Web3.”   This case exemplifies the power of borderless opportunities. When learners are given access to meaningful work-based experiences—regardless of location—they don’t just participate; they contribute, lead, and grow. While I'm writing feedback to Virtual Internships about the first week of my internship, I want to share some important news with you. 😊✨ I feel that the place where I am now is destiny. Let me explain why: 1) In 2023, I discovered a profession I had not previously considered - UI/UX Designer. To explore this field, I decided to take a trial course from GoIT - start your career in IT. I liked it, but at the same time, I was sad because I didn't have the money to pay the course fee. And then a miracle happened - I was lucky enough to win a course from GoIT, which significantly changed my professional life. It helped me finally understand what I wanted to do. 🖼️ 2) At the same time, AI was developing, and I realised it was the future. I wanted my work connected to this field, so I continued freelancing while focusing on my new interests. 🤖 3) Then, I was accepted for an academic mobility program during the autumn of 2024 at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland. 🤍💙(You can see the picture from there.) This is also an important period in my life, as it taught me that only by persevering and acting despite fear and uncertainty can you achieve your dreams. (Of course, this stage helped me to be more confident in speaking English, which motivated me to apply for the Virtual Internship.) 📚 These three stages have ultimately led to a significant change in my life this year: I am now doing an internship at M4trix Dev! This opportunity has allowed me to apply all my previous skills in my current role. Isn't it amazing how things come together? I found myself in the right place at the right time, and it aligns perfectly with my interests. Thank you, Matteo Beroldo, for giving me this incredible opportunity!💟 I have already started a secret but interesting project for digital professionals.🤫😉 So stay tuned: it will be very insightful. I'm sure there's more to come!💫
