Huge thanks Alejandro Caballero and Valeria Vecchi from IFC - International Finance Corporation for presenting their recent green jobs analysis at #GlobalSkillsWeek. Some highlights: 💰Education made only 1.3% of total climate oriented aid despite being a force multiplier for climate action. 🦺Green skills demand is far greater than current supply. We are going to struggle to accomplish climate objectives without properly investing in our future workforce. 🧠 Much of the focus in climate workforce strategies focus on new skills for newly developed technologies but there is significant opportunity to augment and repurpose older skills.

AI is moving fast, and universities need to work with its evolving capabilities—not just react to them. Maria Spies, Nunzio Quacquarelli and Enzo Peruffo discuss strategies and the AI Consortium, a group that is helping institutions do just that, with working groups to share insights and adapt together.
