This time Shellworks was at Hampton Court Palace to present #Vivomer as part of the Sustainable Markets Initiative CEO Summit 5 year anniversary. Thanks to the Sustainable Markets Initiative for organising what was an inspiring couple of days with lots of fascinating roundtable discussions - leaving everyone motivated and inspired that we can build the future we need. The highlight of course was the opportunity to present to his Royal Majesty King Charles who was blown away at what #Vivomer represents for industry, the environment and human health. #Vivomer is here and ready to go, reach out to us if you want to get rid of plastic without needing to compromise. We were honoured to have been invited to the United Nations Office at Geneva last week to discuss the benefits of #Vivomer as a substitute for plastic at the Marine-Based & Natural Materials Expo as part of the 5th #OceanForum. At Shellworks we’ve been developing Vivomer for the last 4 years and it was a surreal moment to see it presented on the big (and little) screens at the United Nations! Recognition goes a long way to when you’re tackling huge problems - a testament to all the hard work from our incredible team and an important step closer to eliminating plastic pollution. Special thanks to the team at UNCTAD Ocean Economy and Fisheries for curating a wonderful exhibit of inspiring companies including GO!PHA , Uluu, Catchgreen, International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR),Zerocircle, FAO , GLOBEFISH ,Fédération Nationale des Paniers de la Mer, The FlipFlopi Project Mananasi Fibre LTD INTERNATIONAL SEAWEED ASSOCIATION Quelp and for a great series of discussions. The future is here and we’re just getting started … 

♻️🧴 PACKAGING INNOVATION: Wildsmith to roll out 100% compostable packaging that biodegrades in a year ♻️🧴 Professional spa and skincare brand Wildsmith Skin is embracing a ‘no waste, no trace’ philosophy with a packaging overhaul of a selection of its at-home wellbeing range. Starting March 2025, the Active Repair Copper Peptide Cream and Ceramide Repair Balm will feature home-compostable Vivomer packaging, developed by sustainable innovator Shellworks. Vivomer, a plant-based biopolymer made from natural microbes, mimics plastic’s strength but biodegrades fully in just a year once disposed of in compost, soil or landfill. Naturally pigmented and stable throughout its use, Vivomer is said to "exist in collaboration with nature". Additional Wildsmith products will transition to Vivomer in 2025 as existing glass packaging sells through.
