  • ⏰ JUST 7 DAYS LEFT! ⏰ The countdown is on! Only 7 days left to join the Community Studio before enrolment closes. For the past few weeks, I've watched amazing charities transform how they tell their stories through video – using nothing but their smartphones. This is exactly why I built the Community Studio. Because I've seen first-hand how powerful video content can be. You don't need expensive equipment. You don't need a marketing team. You just need your phone and the right techniques. The Community Studio is built around four bite-sized sessions that take you from planning to publishing – designed specifically for busy charity professionals who need practical solutions, not theoretical marketing advice. 7 days. That's all the time that's left to join us. Use the code CC20 for 20% off! https://buff.ly/0i8Bjv5

  • 🎥 Want more people in your team capturing great content? Here’s how to build a culture of content gatherers: 1. Involve them—ask for ideas, not just footage 2. Show the impact of video content 3. Give clear examples of what to capture 4. Make sharing content easy 5. Recognize & appreciate their contributions A little encouragement goes a long way! 🚀✨

  • I am halfway through a brilliant email marketing course this week and it made me think about how much I love learning new skills. We're always telling donors about the impact of their support, but how often do we invest in ourselves? Over the years I've picked up some random skills - WSET level 2 in wine, barista training, TEFL certification, even did a yoga retreat in India. Plus my marketing diploma that's been super helpful! Each new skill has opened doors I never expected. My marketing knowledge helps charities reach new supporters, while the wine knowledge is a game changer in the Aldi wine aisle. When we're stretched thin in the charity world, training is often the first thing cut. But I've found it's actually what helps us diversify income and reach new audiences. The fresh perspectives from learning something new have helped me spot opportunities that were right in front of me. What's something new you've learned lately? Or what would you love to learn if time and money weren't obstacles? I'm thinking about photography next...

  • Today, we were thrilled to host our online "Ethical Filmmaking & Practical Phone Skills" workshop with the 12 amazing charities in our Small Charity Appeal Programme! It was wonderful to see everyone engaging with the content and asking thoughtful questions. Next, they'll be working with their mentors to develop briefs and shot lists to put these new skills into action. The Small Charity Appeal Programme continues for 10 more weeks, with personalised mentoring and practical sessions on social media, Google Ads, and donor journeys still to come. A huge thank you to all our participating charities for their enthusiasm and commitment to ethical storytelling! 💫 #EthicalFilmmaking #CharitySupport #SmallCharities #DigitalSkills #TheSaltways
