Just home from a brilliant three days in Switzerland at a fantastic event organised by UBS Optimus Foundation. Over 100 philanthropists, corporates, foundations and other partners discussing the future financing of some of the biggest challenges facing the world and the most innovative ways of addressing them. Tremendous leadership by Tom Hall and Nalini Tarakeshwar and their colleagues. British Asian Trust delighted and privileged to be involved. So many really stimulating conversations.

After a few weeks struggling with the #LondonMarathon training, I was dreading this morning, but managed to keep going for 4 hours and covered 21 miles around gorgeous Bushy Park. Have reached 80% of both the distance and my fundraising target - nearly there! Thank you SO much to the very many lovely people who've kindly sponsored me already - it's been a fantastic reminder of the brilliant people working for social change I've been lucky enough to work with over the years, as well as kind support from family & friends (including my 2 year old nephew & my dad's university friends from Sri Lanka nearing their 80s 🥰 ). 2008: Tried to run a marathon. Did… okay. 2025: Attempting it again finally — hell nervous. So honoured to have the support of Her Majesty the Queen today for the Elephant Family Big Egg Hunt. Commissioned by the King and Queen and painted by Alice Shirley, this "Green Man Humpty Dumpty Egg" is one of over 120 egg sculptures dotted all over London. Raising awareness and funds for our conservation programme. Elephant Family was founded by Her Majesty's late brother Mark Shand.
