Open Hands is a Leicester based charity that provides support to individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness and unemployment. In January we donated 20 cartons of shoes to Open Hands. This donation helps towards providing people in need access to basic clothing, as well as toiletries, bedding, and household items available during their drop-in sessions. By supporting Amantani, we are helping them empower women like Jovita, a respected member of the Ccorca community, who is also a long-time Artisan of Amantani. She has taught other artisans the ancestral craft of hand-weaving and as a result has supported dozens of women develop their own financial independence. Good companies doing good things Yesterday we took delivery of a donation from Shoezone Retail Limited 40 large cartons full of new shoes All banded in pairs and sorted by kids/women’s/men’s sizes In terms of the current U.K. demand for the service we provide, the cold weather, and the requests for practical footwear we’re receiving daily - trainers, winter boots, wellies, slippers and LOTS of school shoes, this is one of the most well timed donations we’ve ever received Our stars aligned 💫

This vehicle will make a world of difference, helping to support services to patients and their families across our community.
