Our mammoth herd of Stomp Round Leicester Elephants are currently being transformed into an array of spectacular sculptures by our talented artists! Artist Donna Newman who created our first Elephant, Cellie-bration, told us that the wonderful city of Leicester was the inspiration behind her colourful design.  She said: “It’s about celebrating everything about Leicester. Its cultural diversity, its people, its buildings, its culture. All of that is incorporated into this design. “So I hope that people just really enjoy the colour and the vibrancy and feel a real sense of fun and perhaps a bit of pride in the city. I hope it creates a sense of joy and excitement about the trail.” We’re sure it will! It’s not too late to get involved in the fun, the pride, the joy and excitement! • We’re delighted to announce that we collected a mighty **£3,000** in donations at Leicester City Football Club v Man United match on Sunday! That’s the equivalent of 6 days of bucket collections in just 90 minutes! Huge thanks for everyone’s generosity and to the club for their support.   In addition we’ve been gifted the kind of publicity money can’t buy with the awesome sight of our LOROS logo on players’ warm up shirts and beamed around the stadium to 32,000 supporters (plus millions more watching on TV), it was a great success!   We were raising funds for our counselling service and it was great to see LOROS feature so much across LCFC’s social channels, including the visit from two players, Mads and Victor.   Laura Betts, Head of Fundraising, said: “Sunday night proved just how much LOROS means to LCFC supporters and we were so touched by so many amazing LCFC fans who wanted to help. It’s really heart-warming and we are so grateful to everyone who donated or stopped to speak to us. LCFC’s campaign to support LOROS throughout March is really helping us to raise awareness as well as money – both are crucial for us right now. We love working with the Club and its fans and are looking forward to building on our amazing partnership over the next few years and seeing the difference we can make together.”

  • A big thank you goes out to PepsiCo for supporting LOROS! Some of the team visited us recently to handover a cheque for all of the fundraising they have done for LOROS. Overall, PepsiCo have raised an incredible £1964! A few weeks back, some of the placement students and degree apprentices at PepsiCo visited the Hospice to deliver some lovely care bags for our patients on the Ward. The bags are filled with word searches, candles and fluffy socks to treat our patients with - such a kind gesture! Degree apprentice at Pepsi Co, Cole, has a very personal connection with the Hospice. His Auntie was cared for at LOROS last year and he decided he wanted to come along to deliver the care bags to give back to LOROS. Cole said: "LOROS were amazing. She was here for a few weeks and treated amazingly. I really want to help LOROS in any way I can." Thank you so much to the entire team for your support!

  • Our herd is growing...😍🐘 Marcol Ltd have joined the herd! It's going to be one mammoth summer. 👏😍 Mark Ward, Director at Marcol Ltd, said: "As a local, family-rooted business its really important for us to support a local charity who share similar values to us. LOROS is all about caring for the family, not just the patient. When a terminal illness is diagnosed, it affects the whole family, so the support has to too. It is remarkable that LOROS do ALL of this free of charge. We feel so lucky to have access to a facility like LOROS and will always do all that we can to support it and ensure it can be here for future generations. The longer that we work with LOROS, the more they begin to understand our business and the types of projects we like to be involved with. We are looking forward to continuing our relationship and supporting projects where we believe our involvement can make a difference”. #StompRoundLeicester
