Thanks to the support of The National Lottery Community Fund, our dementia group members in the Scottish Borders enjoy a range of different social outings locally to keep them connected. Whether it be fun trips to enjoy nature, a sit-down lunch to socialise with others or a get together to have a sing and dance, these social activities are vital to helping people stay active in the community. 😍

Happy 5th anniversary to NHS and Care Volunteer Responders 🙌 Since 2020, NHS and Care Volunteer Responders have supporting patients, healthcare teams, and communities across England. From easing pressure on the NHS to tackling loneliness, helping at vaccine sites, and ensuring vulnerable people received essential supplies, their impact has been truly inspiring.   Here’s what they’ve achieved so far:   📞 1.1 million+ Telephone Support calls 🛍 1 million Community Response Tasks 🦺 392,000 Steward shifts at vaccine sites   A huge thank you to every Volunteer Responder who’s been part of this journey so far – you’re all amazing!

A week full of inspiring conversations and exciting developments!    On Monday, we shared plans for our new digital platform which will help click and connect thousands of people to the causes they care about. From there, we then headed straight to Anthropy UK.    Today, our Deputy CEO, Samantha Ward OBE, joined Emma-Rose Herrera from the Environment Agency and Anthropy Emerging Leader Juhie R. from EDT (The Engineering Development Trust) to discuss the crucial role of civil society in civil preparedness.    It was a privilege to see our CEO, Catherine Johnstone CBE join John O’Brien MBE in wrapping up #Anthropy25.
