We were proud to support the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology induction event, where James Neely, Strategic Director for Defence NCC (National Composites Centre) and Amita Randhawa, Director, Advocacy and Engagement (CPI) shared their expertise in the Bridging Innovation Across Sectors panel. As part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, we drive innovation in manufacturing supporting businesses to transform great ideas into valuable products and services delivering impact across the UK. The session featured a mix of current and former Civil Servants and experts and explored how government and industry can collaborate to drive innovation and align goals for mutual success. The event is part of DSIT’s Expert Exchange Programme’s embedded expert offer. The goal of this programme is to make it easy, encouraging and effective for DSIT teams to work with academia, industry and other partners to bring in or cultivate expertise or knowledge that is not currently available within the department. #Collaboration #Innovation #NCC #CPI #OneHVMC

Had an incredible time representing the South West at the 40th Space Symposium in Colorado Springs last week! Kicked off the week with a fantastic event hosted by the South West Space Partnership in collaboration with UKspace and the Halo team. Huge thanks to everyone who joined us for the evening! Engaging discussions on Tuesday and Wednesday with companies looking to expand and collaborate in the South West. A highlight was connecting with Jeff Feige and Livingston Holder of Radian Aerospace. Excited to host you at the National Composites Centre later this month. Also, had the honor of speaking with Colorado Governor Jared Polis, emphasizing the synergies between South West regional capabilities and the recent MOU with the Department for Business and Trade. Thanks to Erin Kuhn for facilitating this opportunity; looking forward to delving deeper into this collaboration. It was a pleasure to meet new friends and reconnect with familiar faces from the UK space ecosystem. Grateful for the kindness, insights, and inclusivity from Joshua Western , Mark Cole , Kev Jones, Duhita Govindji, Chris Rocks MAPM, Nik Smith, Anisha Patel, Ali Stickings, Richard Budd, and Stephanie Ayres. Your camaraderie and positivity remind me why I'm passionate about working in the space sector.
