Monthly Health and Well-being…………….. Our monthly health and wellbeing event took us to Common Market for some tasty food and refreshments.  Most importantly it allowed us to get together as a team outside of the working environment. Time spent having a laugh and a conversation about anything, but work is important and helps keep the team together.  We have a great team of people at Mascott and it’s important to us that it’s a happy and productive team.  Events like this allow us to break down barriers and feel more comfortable around each other, which in turn leads to better working relationships.  #WeAreMascott

Project update......... Our team are making good progress at our Campbell College site.  Internally, the M&E works are progressing well, and underfloor heating will be installed in the coming days. Internal plastering and preparation for 2nd fix are also underway.  Externally, we are dismantling the crane this week, and the cladding panels will commence to be installed to the sports hall and rear of the new gym.  As we start to see the project take shape, we are excited to hand over this fantastic facility to the school and its pupils.    #WeAreMascott #DeliveringExcellence #Construction #NorthernIreland #Build

Celebrating 80 years.............. Some of our team attended the Construction Employers Federation (CEF) Northern Ireland Construction Gala dinner which was held at Titanic Belfast. A great night was had and the video created by the CEF which documented the construction of Belfast's most well-known landmarks was excellent.  It was a proud moment for the industry in Northern Ireland and a good opportunity to sit back and remind us of the critical role this industry has played, is playing, and will play for the local people and the economy. It was great to hear from Fionnuala McKenna and see the great work being put into place by Construction Futures to help ensure the future prosperity of the industry and the people of Northern Ireland.  It was encouraging to hear the Department of Infrastructure minister Liz Kimmins talking about investment locally and having the faith in our industry to deliver the much-needed changes and upgrades required. Congratulations to Wilson Lambe MBE CFIOSH on his lifetime achievement award for a remarkable 62 years, and to the CEF team for curating a fabulous showcase of Construction in Northern Ireland.   #WeAreMascott #Construction #DeliveringExcellence #NorthernIreland #Build

FIT-OUT UPDATE Our fit-out team recently completed a high-end fit-out for our internationally renowned client. The works included stripping out an existing retail unit, along with new internal partitions, mechanical and electrical (M&E) services, lift installation, new life safety systems, flooring, wall decorations, and bespoke cabinetry. HEALTH AND SAFETY Our team recently attended the annual Northern Ireland Housing Executive Health & Safety event. There was some excellent panel discussions and powerful stories. A particularly memorable story was that of Dylan who gave powerful reminder of the importance of workplace safety and working at height. A great #OpenDoors25 event today with Mascott Construction at Campbell College Belfast! 👷 The team at Mascott took students on a tour through the refurbishment and extension of Campbell College's sports complex where they were shown the different stages of construction and the reasons for each step. 🏗️ The students then took part in a group activity where they were challenged to plan all the steps needed to build a house and learnt about important phases of construction like planning, first fix, second fix, as well as what was required in each stage. We are nearing completion of our enabling works project in the heart of Belfast City Centre.  The works involved the sub-division of the ground floor and included removal of 2 escalators and precast concrete staircases.  We have installed new structural steel work and completed concrete deck infills along with sub-dividing the M&E services and installing new life support systems.  Despite the city center location and restrictions our team will be finished on time at the end of March leaving the premises ready for its new tenants.   Hollis BWM Ltd #WeAreMascott #DeliveringExcellence #Construction #NorthernIreland #Build
