🚗 A group of Heron Bros staff recently completed the Responsible Driving and the Fatal Five course delivered by Business in the Community Northern Ireland in partnership with PSNI This impactful programme tackled the main causes of road accidents, from speeding to distractions, through really powerful, emotional content that really hit home. The final in-person session wrapped up last week, where we proudly received our certificates. Huge thanks to the organisers for such a well-run and thought-provoking experience. Over the past two years, Heron Bros has partnered with CAN (Compass Advocacy Network Ltd) to create a horticulture centre at Lislagan Farm, turning an underused 3-acre field into a space for growing food, learning, and community engagement 🌱🥕 Yesterday marked the final phase of the project where the team finalised the installation of a new polytunnel, raised beds, fencing, and a native tree planting area, working alongside CAN members and staff. In two weeks, we’ll also be delivering 10+ tonnes of organic compost to kickstart the growing season 🌱 It’s been an extremely rewarding project for everyone involved and we’re excited to see this space thrive for years to come! 👏🏼 #communitysupport #wellbeing #socialvalue #heronbros
