Kate Macfarlane, Linde's Director of Clean Hydrogen for EMEA, recently spoke at CERAWeek about the state of hydrogen adoption across Europe. She explained that the emphasis in the region is currently on renewable hydrogen, but reaching the scale required to drive the hydrogen economy will require expanding beyond this approach. Kate highlighted encouraging signs from the European Commission as they begin to consider low-carbon hydrogen solutions, which aligns with several Linde projects underway in the region. Watch the video to hear her perspective on how Linde is advancing scalable solutions and driving hydrogen adoption in EMEA. #CERAWeek #LindeIsEverywhere

Linde is pleased to announce plans to install our innovative OPTIMELT™ TCR technology at O-I's container glass furnace in Holzminden, Germany. This installation will mark a significant milestone, as Linde’s technology is expected to drive a step-change reduction in both fuel consumption and fuel-based Scope 1 carbon dioxide emissions for O-I, a global leader in glass manufacturing. This unique technology recovers waste heat from glass furnace flue gas to preheat and reform the natural gas feed. This decreases fuel consumption of the melting process by approximately 30% vs. furnaces that do not feature this technology. The OPTIMELT™ TCR technology is also compatible with a range of fuels such as low-carbon hydrogen or blends of hydrogen and natural gas. Linde’s OPTIMELT™ TCR technology is being implemented by glass manufacturing customers worldwide, including in the United States. Linde has been providing innovative solutions to the glass industry for over three decades. We are excited to partner with O-I on this important project. Together, we’re demonstrating how innovation and partnership can reshape glass manufacturing for a more sustainable future. #LindeTechnology #Glass #LindeIsEverywhere
