Carbon capture and storage offers a way to help reduce emissions from industries that are hard to decarbonise. In Norway, Shell together with Equinor and TotalEnergies are part of Northern Lights JV, a joint venture working to develop the world’s first open-source CO2 transport and storage infrastructure. The project is designed to transport captured CO2 from across Europe and permanently store it under the Norwegian seabed. We are now investing in the second phase Northern Lights, aiming to more than triple the current CO2 injection capacity at the facility. Read more: https://lnkd.in/daMt2Q2e
