Access to the law should be a basic right, available to everyone. Lawhive’s vision is to combine AI and best-in-class lawyers to reduce the time and cost of providing high-quality legal support, increasing access for millions of people who need it. We led Lawhive’s Pre-Seed and are delighted that GV (Google Ventures) led their recent $12m Seed round. I’ve been working with the founders for a while now, and it’s incredible to see their dedication to this mission. It’s not been easy, but the team have built a truly world-class product are now seeing huge demand for it. I couldn’t be happier for Pierre Proner, Jaime van Oers and Flinn Dolman. Three extremely smart and ambitious founders doing it for the right reasons. Onwards! If you know a solicitor who wants to improve their working life, tell them about Lawhive. If you’re looking for your next gig, take a look at the open positions.

Meet Lawhive the UK-based startup that just secured £9.5 million ($11.9 million) in Seed funding led by GV (the venture capital arm of Alphabet Inc) to enhance its AI-infused legal platform. And it's about time! The AI-powered platform the startup has developed aims to make legal advice more accessible, efficient and affordable for small and medium businesses. Why did GV pick Lawhive? Simply put: they're the future of law. By innovatively infusing tech into a traditionally complex and expensive industry, Lawhive is disrupting the legal sector and paving the way for a more streamlined legal process. But what does this mean for the legal industry? It means that legal services are no longer an old-fashioned, paper-pushing, and manual operation. AI is now taking over in unprecedented ways, optimizing document review, contract analysis, and even legal research. This will free up lawyers to focus on the tasks that require their specialized knowledge, making them more efficient and productive. Of course, there are concerns about jobs being replaced by machines. But let's remember that AI is not a replacement for lawyers, but rather a tool that can help them do their job better. The future is automated. The future is Lawhive. Can't wait to see what they do next! Lawhive's Seed funding signifies that the legal industry is ready to embrace the future — are you? #legaltech #lawhive #lawfirms #funding #futureoflaw

Excited to share we’ve raised £9.5M in funding from GV (Google Ventures), with participation from Episode 1 Ventures. This represents another significant step forwards in advancing our mission of creating a better way to work for consumer lawyers and ensuring everyone has access to the law and their legal rights. A huge shout out to the Lawhive team, who’ve achieved outlier results over the past year. In that short period of time we’ve gone live with Lawrence the AI lawyer we’ve been working on since 2019, seen hundreds of lawyers sign up, and thousands of individuals and small businesses access legal help through Lawhive. We’re thrilled to welcome GV and Vidu Shanmugarajah to the fold, and to continue working with Hector Mason and Simon Murdoch at Episode 1 who were early believers at pre-seed and follow on again at this round. We’re hiring across engineering, AI, product, and ops. If you’re passionate about changing the way consumer law is practiced and accessed, we’d love to hear from you.
