Great to host organisations for our Diversity and Inclusion roundtable in the North East, where the focus was on developing a baseline position in the region, learning from the response of Berneslai Homes to the riots last summer, and exploring diversity and inclusion at board, staff and community development level. We had honest, thought-provoking conversations about what real progress looks like—and how housing organisations can support each other to lead change across our workforce and communities. It was inspiring to hear from colleagues who are pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo, and making diversity and inclusion central to strategy, not just a side project. Big thanks to Nazmin Akthar at Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP for hosting us, and Josh Neary-Pegler and Amanda Garrard for the presentations. Emily Cox MBE Di Keller Nazmin Akthar Amanda Garrard formed an excellent panel to discuss what was happening both inside and outside housing organisations.
