About us
Housing Diversity Network is a not-for-profit social enterprise and membership organisation with over 170 member organisations across England and Scotland. We are dedicated to supporting organisations in addressing inequality, maximising their workforce potential, and catering to the diverse needs of their communities. One of the key ways HDN achieves its mission is through our events and webinars, as well as our tailored training and consultancy services. We understand that every organisation is unique and faces its own challenges in promoting diversity and inclusion. Therefore, our approach is not one-size-fits all but is instead individualised to meet the specific needs and goals of each organisation.

Great to host organisations for our Diversity and Inclusion roundtable in the North East, where the focus was on developing a baseline position in the region, learning from the response of Berneslai Homes to the riots last summer, and exploring diversity and inclusion at board, staff and community development level. We had honest, thought-provoking conversations about what real progress looks like—and how housing organisations can support each other to lead change across our workforce and communities. It was inspiring to hear from colleagues who are pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo, and making diversity and inclusion central to strategy, not just a side project. Big thanks to Nazmin Akthar at Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP for hosting us, and Josh Neary-Pegler and Amanda Garrard for the presentations. Emily Cox MBE Di Keller Nazmin Akthar Amanda Garrard formed an excellent panel to discuss what was happening both inside and outside housing organisations. These regional spaces are a valuable opportunity to connect, reflect, and collaborate and are more important than ever. Watch out for our other member regional events being announced shortly.
