One of our BREEAM certified projects is a finalist at the BREEAM Awards 2025 🙌 The BREEAM Awards recognises pioneering BREEAM certified projects around the world, so we’re thrilled to have our Unit 17, Premier Park, industrial refurbishment shortlisted! #TeamHollis provided a multi-service offering on a warehouse refurbishment for our valued client SEGRO plc. The BREEAM assessment, led by our assessor, Catherine Harker, scored a BREEAM Outstanding rating. The project aimed to achieve sustainability and ESG goals by creating a highly energy-efficient industrial space. The Dakota Building - New Build Logistics Hollis are delighted to provide Project Management and additional services for a 120,000 sq ft new build in Lambourn, Berkshire for Walker Logistics Limited! The logistics warehouse will include additional office space, alongside a unique museum that honours the site’s historic roots. Built with sustainability in mind, the development targets an Excellent BREEAM rating, alongside the design and installation of a 180 KWP solar PV system on the roof. To commemorate the beginning of what’s promised to be an incredible project, we recently held a groundbreaking event with key stakeholders from Glencar and Walker Logistics Limited. Fire Safety Update 🧯 The UK Government has extended the Waking Watch Replacement Fund until March 2026, with up to £21.11 million of extra funds to support the installation of common alarm systems in residential buildings across England. This initiative aims to replace costly 'Waking Watch' measures with more efficient and reliable fire safety measures. Dr. Benjamin Ralph, Head of Building Safety and Fire at Hollis, comments: "The new extended Waking Watch Replacement Fund will help the move from costly Waking Watch patrols towards more reliable and automated detection and alarm systems. These systems must not be seen as an excuse to extend the time it takes to carry out cladding remediation works, though. This should not be seen as a low-cost long-term alternative for protecting residents."
