We’re proud to share our 2024 gender pay gap report, which shows that our gender pay gap continues to narrow. This year, we’ve seen a 17% increase in women in top and senior management roles and a 0.6% improvement in the gender pay gap compared to last year. But we’re not stopping here. We are thrilled to announce that the selection of projects for the 6th Edition of the Quarry Life Award, our biodiversity research competition, has been finalised! 🌱 This year, six projects across both the research and community streams will be undertaken, involving our quarries at Grange Top in Rutland, Bubbenhall in Warwickshire, Horton in North Yorkshire, Bull’s Lodge in Essex, Batts Combe in Somerset and Barton-under-Needwood in Staffordshire. 🐞The chosen projects will explore biodiversity topics including the importance of insects, boosting biodiversity through grazing, and the role of lake sediments. Each project will help to support our goal of increasing biodiversity at our quarry sites, strengthening communication with local communities and raising awareness about the importance of nature and habitats. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at our Maidenhead head office in November and will then go forward for judging in the international award.
