Time really does fly when you’re doing what you love! A year ago, I joined Explore Worldwide and I can honestly say, it’s been amazing. I get to work with the best team, a group of brilliant, supportive people who push boundaries and lift each other every day. 💡✨ One of the biggest highlights? Bringing Paid Media in-house and completely restructuring our accounts to make them work smarter, not harder. It’s been a huge achievement, and seeing the impact across the business has been so rewarding! To make insights even more accessible, I also created a Paid Media Report—not just full of useful stats, but visually aesthetic too (because data should look good, right? 😉). But it’s not just the work that makes Explore special. As a mum, balancing career and family can be tough, but the flexibility and support here have been a game changer. Being able to thrive in my role while also being present for my family? This morning I'm sitting with a coffee and reflecting on yesterday's brilliant in-house carbon literacy training day. It was an opportunity to spend a full day with 8 brilliant team mates, sharing knowledge on the how, why and what-on-earths of carbon measurements. The questions, suggestions and clear drive that people showed to make an impact in reducing our emissions was energising. This is a course certified by the The Carbon Literacy Project and once the post-course work is completed Explore Worldwide will have 12 staff certified as carbon literate. This is a big step forward in ensuring everyone has the knowledge to play their part in reducing our emissions. This was the first of 4 training sessions planned for this year and I cannot wait for the next one! Huge thanks to my brilliant co-trainers Laura Dewar and Emily Drummond-Southwick who brought the subject to life (and kept me to time!). #carbonliteracy #BeBetterThanYesterday

Let’s clear them up: Myth: B Corps are perfect ❌ The B Corp framework is about continuous improvement, not perfection. Even top companies aren’t perfect - we’re always learning and striving to be better than yesterday. Myth: It’s all about carbon ❌ While carbon emissions are a part of the process, B Corp looks at much more: governance, workers, environment, community, and customers. We measure, report, and verify our emissions, but it’s about the bigger picture. Myth: Travel companies can’t be B Corps ❌ Not true! Flights have a big impact, but activity to reduce carbon elsewhere and to mitigate via carbon removal is also important. 🥾 Taking strides for better mental health 🥾 40 of our team will soon be strapping on their boots to take on two 23-mile walking challenges to raise money for Inghams’ charity partner Mind Over Mountains.   🌄 One group will take on the Surrey Three Peaks – a circular route covering the county’s three highest summits – and the other will walk the London Royal Parks, from Bushy Park to Primrose Hill via seven Royal Parks and many other iconic London landmarks. 🌳 We’re excited to take on this challenge, both to raise funds and to embrace Mind Over Mountains’ philosophy of ‘Restoring mental health, naturally.’ The walks on 14th March are expected to take somewhere between nine and 11 hours, so they will be a test of mental and physical endurance - and a great team building event for those participating. 🚶♂️ 🚶♀️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♀️🚶♂️ 🚶♀️ The great outdoors and the spirit of adventure are threads that link of all of Hotelplan UK’s brands, so we’re proud to support the fantastic work carried out by Mind Over Mountains.
