What a blast we had at our end-of-year conference yesterday! It was a day full of reflections, recognitions, and some serious fun! We kicked off by reviewing our journey over the past year—celebrating the wins and gearing up to tackle the challenges ahead. Big shout out to our Perm and Contract teams for their stellar performance, our Talent team for continually adding value, and our US team who are absolutely smashing their targets! Despite the tough market, we’re proud to say that Energi People has continued to grow YoY and business is up from last year—a feat not everyone can say in the recruitment world these days. We dove into some interactive sessions focused on boosting our confidence and influence, stepping into the shoes of our clients and candidates to better understand their needs and challenges. This isn’t just about filling positions—it’s about crafting tailored solutions that truly make a difference. We always like to end the conference with recognising and celebrating exceptional performance! Congratulations and shout out's to Eva Szegfu, Kathryn Lewis, Joseph Sherman and and Jessica Dade for your well-deserved awards, and a special shout out to Sian Davies and Yasmin Baker for earning Special Recognition—your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed! And yes, there’s more—hit our targets next year, and we’re all jetting off to Lisbon! ✈️ We wrapped up the day back at the EP Pub, where darts, table tennis, and beer pong were the games of choice. End of an Era..... The legend that is Marcia Tottman retired from Energi People on Friday. She will be sorely missed having been an integral part of the company for over 10 years. Her laughter is infectious as is her sense of humour and candid (read blunt) way of explaining things! 😂 As is befitting we had a party to celebrate her time with us with some of her favourite things.....Friends, Family Wine and Karaoke! To kick off the week - we decided for a bit of Monday morning fun - with a game of 'Matchy-Matchy' using Haribo sweets! The London office joined in as did our 2 lovely ladies in South Africa! We had to bring in a bag of Haribos and hope that someone else did not have the same. If they did, a donation to Step by Step Partnership Ltd would need to be made! There were a few new ones on me (there are over 100 different varieties apparently!). A few of the staff that technically 'lost' and need to make a donation. Although as its such a good cause, the rest of us decided to donate also!
