What is the potential of out-of-the-box outdoor wildlife cameras when combined with the power of AI? Alongside Lynker Analytics, we’ve supported Auckland Council in developing a system using wildlife outdoor cameras and AI to detect stormwater blockages early. The system captures, consolidates and analyses pipe blockages or flooding across critical stormwater structures in west Auckland. This paired with existing datasets of stormwater pipe inspections has enabled the development of a machine learning model that can predict the age at which stormwater pipes will deteriorate. Meaning the Council can better plan for maintenance and asset renewals, reducing time and cost and minimising disruptions to the public. Congratulations to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on reaching financial close for the Fengmiao Phase 1 Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan! As lender’s technical advisor, we were responsible for working closely with the Fengmiao I team over the course of a year and a half to rigorously and proactively identify risks and mitigations. With extensive offshore wind engineering and design experience globally and a strong local team, we were well placed to support the project in achieving a timely financial close. Located off the coast of Taichung City, the project is now entering construction phase.
