Congratulations to Sue Richardson at our Eastfield Store, who retires today after 38 years in service! 🎉 We'd like to say a HUGE thank you to Sue for her hard work and dedication to Cooplands over the years. You will be missed 💛

This week we’re celebrating National Apprenticeship Week and the incredible opportunities available at Cooplands 🎉   Liam’s journey at Cooplands started in the hygiene team, before becoming a drivers mate, to then recently completing his Driving Apprenticeship Course and is now a fully qualified HGV driver. Liam found the course very enlightening and has gained experience in the driving industry, learning how to drive safe and efficiently. Tom Astell, L&D Manager comments, "apprenticeships are a crucial part of the development programme at Cooplands, and we are committed to build our colleagues skills throughout their journey with us."   All of our staff here at Cooplands have the chance to undertake an apprenticeship, no matter what role they are in. You asked for a Jam Cornflake Tart and we delivered! 👏🏽 Our Syrup Cornflake Tart has been a huge hit in stores, but we had a request from a customer who wanted it with jam! We met him at our Washington Store to settle the debate - jam or syrup! What would you prefer in your cornflake tart? 😋 Thank you to our team at Washington Store for allowing this to happen and the team at Durham Bakery for making the special request!

We're proud to have donated £1,000 to Kyra Women's Project. The project is a one-stop-centre for providing training programs, counselling and support services to women who need assistance to improve their lives. We also provided Kyra Women's Project with some of our Autumn treats which were enjoyed by the members at the drop in session!

A number of us from Cooplands Bakery are taking part in the Saint Catherine's Hospice Fire Walk on Saturday raising vital funds for patient care 🔥If you'd like to support them, you can do so via their just giving page, below!

Today has been the start of our 2 day "Making The Difference" Annual Conference, where teams across the business took part in a number of workshops and team building sessions, linking with our vision, mission & values, as well as celebrating success within our teams! 👏🏽 #MakingTheDifference

We've donated £1,000 to The Woodlands Academy in Scarborough. The Academy is for children with a range of Special Needs & Disabilities, preparing students for the challenges of the 21st Century. We also provided Woodlands Academy with some of our delicious treats which were enjoyed by the staff and students 😊

Congratulations to our second team of staff from the bakeries for completing their Confectionary Production training course! The team have spent 9 sessions learning about how cake ingredients function, improving their mixing and piping skills, and changing up some classic Cooplands recipes to give them a fresh spin! 👏🏽
