West Midlands helps to make Quality Moments Matter with £5,000 donation to Hope House 🤝 A #Shropshire-based children’s hospice has secured a £5,000 donation from our West Midlands team, helping to support the hospice’s latest campaign, Quality Moments Matter. Hope House received the funding boost as part of our Community Champions initiative. Hope House Children’s Hospices is a charity that gives every local child with a life-threatening condition and their family access to professional care and improves their quality of life from the point of diagnosis. The Quality Moments Matter campaign aims to raise £400,000 to bring fun and joy to all local children suffering with a life-threatening condition. As part of this, the hospice will be holding a fundraising marathon on the 17th and 18th November to achieve this wider goal. Our funding will help to contribute to the wider target, supporting the hospice and its families to improve the quality of life of sick children. The donation was marked by a visit from Lee Perry, Technical Director for Persimmon West Midlands and Cllr Dean Carroll, Portfolio Holder for Growth, Regeneration and Housing at Shropshire Council. #PersimmonHomes

October was crazy busy for everyone, and as we start into November, well its just crazy lol. If for some reason you missed the "Month of Giving" that we at the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) conducted, it is of course not too late to express your support for our work and the movement through a donation to the IACP. There is a link in the post below - and you can make a one-off dono via "Count Me In" or step up to a small regular dono through the Leadership Links or Sustaining Links levels of gratitude/generosity. As little as $83 per month puts you in the company of this community's leaders - which is why we call it "Leadership Links", because that level = $1000 per year! Change happens through a thousand points of individual action. Its incremental. Its cumulative. We seek to transform how conflict is resolved, worldwide. Our mission needs your help. Today it might just feel good to contribute to the betterment of the world, you know what I mean? For those that took the call to give THANK YOU. For those that can't WE UNDERSTAND. For those that wanted to help during our Month of Giving but didn't have the chance NOW IS THE TIME! #Peacemakers #Revolution #BeLikeStu #Collaborative #Divorce #ChangeMakers
As a donor to IACP, you are a part owner in the future success of the Collaborative Practice movement and a better way for families to resolve disputes. Together, we are transforming the way family disputes are resolved around the world. Donate today: https://lnkd.in/gp2euFnU #MonthOfGiving

A regular, reliable income is essential for St Ann’s, enabling us to care for patients and their loved ones, like Joanna, both now and in the future. 🩵 One of the best ways to support us is through regular donations. This provides a stable income stream for the hospice, allowing us to plan more effectively, operate more efficiently, and help as many people as possible who are impacted by life-limiting illnesses. You can choose to donate monthly, quarterly, or annually, and the amount is entirely up to you. Learn more about regular giving and the difference you can make here: https://buff.ly/4f7zzTX

I've been so blessed working with this great team over the past 3+ years! Seeing the face of a child - that has been sleeping on the couch, air mattress, or even the floor - light up as they walk into their bedroom and see their brand-new bed for the first time is impactful. Beyond the initial smiles and joy the child (and parents) display, we also know how important getting sufficient sleep is to the health and development of children. The National Institutes of Health reports in a 2022 study that insufficient sleep impacts a child's memory, attention span, academic performance, behavior, and physical health (specifically noted are increased rates of obesity and type 2 diabetes). That raises the question - how does a child get sufficient sleep if they're sleeping on the floor? Answer: they don't. I realize that a bed isn't an instant cure-all, but it is a foundational item that offers an immediate benefit by providing a secure, comfortable, and consistent place to get a good night's sleep. Sleep well. Dream big!
Our chapter recently made our 1,000th bed delivery!! That's 1,000 young people in Clay and Platte Counties that have blessed by a friendly team of volunteers coming into the home and lovingly putting together a brand-new bed where, before, there was none. None of this would be possible without so many caring volunteers, donors, and supporters -- THANK YOU TO EACH ONE OF YOU!! Even with all that has been done, the requests for beds keep coming in. Visit www.shpbeds.org/donate to learn about ways you can help make sure "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town!"
