Developing novel technology for CO2 sequestration into concrete, to make it cheaper, greener and stronger.
About us
Concrete4Change (C4C) is a R&D company that is developing ground-breaking technology to utilise and permanently mineralise CO2 in concrete. Concrete4Change technology won a wide range of awards including the United Nations (UN) Most Innovative Net-Zero technology - The Climate Challenge Cup at COP26 in Glasgow and Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Award. Concrete4Change is on a mission to remove 2 billion tonnes of CO2 emission in the concrete industry by 2040 - utilising concrete as the safest form of CO2 sink in the world, and turning one of the world's biggest emission problems into an emission solution Let's make a Concrete Change, together.

🌍🏆 We're proud to share that our Founder & CEO, Sid Pourfalah, represented Concrete4Change at the Tech Tour GreenCity Investment Forum in Paris this week — and walked away as the winner of the Sustainable Construction track! His compelling pitch on our innovative carrier technology — and its potential to decarbonise the global concrete supply chain — stood out to the judging panel. This recognition is another milestone on our journey to scale our technology and make low-carbon concrete the norm, not the exception. A huge thank you to the Tech Tour team and fellow innovators — together, we’re building a better future. 🌱 https://lnkd.in/ejQR6rTx #TechTour #GreenCityForum2025 #SustainableConstruction #Concrete4Change

Concrete4Change is thrilled to share its latest video covering our recent trial in collaboration with Panthera Group - Construction Site Set-Up Services and Heidelberg Materials UK. Since 2022, Panthera Group has been a passionate supporter of Concrete4Change. Panthera Group is a pioneer for sustainable construction practices, having created the world’s first net-zero hoarding system with their EnviroHoard offering. Concrete4Change’s carrier technology seamlessly integrates with the concrete used in the EnviroHoard system, permanently locking away CO₂. This trial marks a significant step in our journey to decarbonising concrete What this means: ✅ Real-world testing of our carrier technology ✅ Collaboration with industry leaders to validate performance ✅ A step closer to transforming how the world builds sustainably The demand for scalable low-carbon concrete solutions has never been greater. By working together across the supply chain, we can make concrete part of the emission solution – not the problem. And with C4C’s carrier technology, turn CO₂ from a liability into an asset—and redefining sustainability in construction. A huge thank you to our partners at Panthera Group and Heidelberg Materials for driving innovation with us. Scaling C4C’s Innovation in partnership with GOLDBECK Since 2022, Concrete4Change has had the privilege of having a strategic partnership and receiving investment from GOLDBECK – one of the fastest growing construction companies in Europe harnessing decarbonisation technologies as an engine for growth. Recently, the management teams of Concrete4Change and GOLDBECK met at their HQ in Bielefeld, to discuss C4C’s plans for scaling up and associated fundraising. At Concrete4Change, we’re constantly striving to push the boundaries of innovation in the concrete and construction industries, converting the emission problem to an emission solution - sharing the same values as our partner GOLDBECK. We look forward to progressing our partnership with GOLDBECK and pushing forwards the joint goal of decarbonising concrete at a global scale, realising its potential as a carbon sink and creating the world’s first net-negative concrete within a decade. In December 2024, Concrete4Change achieved a major milestone in its journey. In collaboration with GOLDBECK, the largest producer of pre-cast concrete in Europe, Concrete4Change delivered a successful pilot trial of its ground-breaking carrier technology at GOLDBECK's primary production site in Hamm, Germany; showcasing significant improvements in strength and rheological properties, all whilst permanently mineralising CO2. Concrete4Change’s technology is the only solution that can make concrete cheaper, stronger and lower emission at the same time, and we are now scaling up the technology for further trials with leading concrete producers and entry into the market by 2027. Special thanks goes to: Jan-Hendrik Goldbeck Fabian Lenz Lukas Romanowski Dr. Pamela Zuschlag Dirk Steensma

Concrete’s Next Big Leap: Concrete4Change's Carrier Material The concrete industry is responsible for nearly 8% of global CO₂ emissions, but what if concrete could be part of the solution instead of the problem? At Concrete4Change, we’ve developed a ground-breaking technology that captures and stores CO₂ inside concrete, helping the industry decarbonise in a cost effective manner without compromising performance. 🔬 The benefits: ✅ CO₂ is locked away in concrete - carbon removal ✅ Reduces cement usage by 10-15% - carbon avoidance ✅ Strengthens concrete for long-lasting structures ✅ Supports net-zero construction goals The future of sustainable building materials is here. Join us in transforming the concrete industry and make concrete the most scalable CO₂ sink in the world. 🔗 Learn more at www.concrete4change.com #Concrete4Change #CarbonSequestration #SustainableConstruction #NetZero #Decarbonisation
