TriFoiler in testing! Our electric foiling trimaran, has successfully launched and is now undergoing sea trials on Southampton Water. Part funded by a UK Government grant under the Innovate UK CMDC programme, this project is an important step in exploring the feasibility of a cost-effective, reliable zero-emission ferry. Built in collaboration with Solent University and @Newcastle Marine Services Ltd, the vessel features a lightweight trimaran hull, a fixed main foil, and an actuating foiling rudder—designed to optimise efficiency while maintaining speed and stability. The trial phase is underway and will provide valuable data and experience informing the next stage of development towards a full-scale, 24m, 40-passenger foiling ferry!
