The collaboration is set to revolutionise the hydrogen production landscape by delivering systems that provide 30% greater efficiency than alternative technologies and effectively utilise steam generated from industrial process heat/waste recovery. The winners will be announced on the 20th of May at the World Hydrogen Awards Ceremony during the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition in Rotterdam, Netherlands. What’s in my bag? A superalloy jet engine blade and Ceres. Grateful for the opportunity to inspire the next generation ✨ I recently volunteered as a career role model at Soroptimist International of North and West Vancouver's Dream It Be It, Career Fair for Girls.  It was great to share my career path and engage with such bright young minds.   What stood out the most was not just the opportunity to share how my passion for working in #energy has taken me around the world, but the inspiration I drew from the other incredible role models in attendance. Working as pilots, sailors, HVAC engineers, IT professionals, professors, project managers and entrepreneurs (just to name a few), each of us brought unique perspectives, but we all shared a common goal – to show these young women that no dream is too big and that they are capable of achieving anything they set their minds to. 💪   I was also truly inspired by the enthusiasm, curiosity, and ambition of the girls who participated. Their questions, ideas, and dreams were a reminder of the importance of encouraging and supporting the next generation of women in the workforce. Our Chief Scientific Officer, Subhasish Mukerjee, delivered a plenary lecture at the UK-HyRES: Hub for Research Challenges in Hydrogen and Alternative Liquid Fuels Stakeholder Showcase in Bath last week. UK-HyRes is a hub seeking to advance the British low-carbon fuel industry, and includes experts from academia, industry, and policy to discuss the latest advancements driving the clean energy transition.    Titled ‘Ceres’ Technology for Clean Power and Green Hydrogen’, Subhasish's talk covered Ceres’ innovative solid oxide cells and their benefits for energy production in both efficiency and sustainability. Ceres’ SteelCell technology operates at lower temperatures than other solid oxide technologies and uses commodity steels, which makes the technology resilient and cost-effective.     UK-HyRES is funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) through the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and uses interdisciplinary research to advance hydrogen and hydrogen-based, low-carbon liquid fuel projects.  We are honoured to be a part of the conversation and research driving the British low-carbon fuel industry, which will help the UK to reach its net zero goals.   Subhasish also joined a UK delegation representing Hy-Res and HI-ACT to the British Embassy Berlin, to exchange with German hydrogen experts and further develop UK-German research and innovation cooperation.
