On Friday, consent was granted for the Rampion 2 Offshore Wind Farm. The Development Consent Order allows for the installation of up to 90 wind turbines and their foundations off the Sussex coast. This project will include subsea cables to bring the generated power to shore, ultimately connecting to the national transmission network at Bolney, in Mid Sussex. Our Infrastructure team provided expert support for the onshore aspects of this application, including land referencing, landowner engagement, and public consultation.

British Land has appointed our Science and Technology team as a joint leasing agent at its Paper Yard development.   Paper Yard is an innovative campus designed to support the science and technology sectors with a specific focus on clean tech, featuring 33,000 sq ft of CL2 lab and office space. The site is the research and development component forming part of the 53-acre Canada Water Masterplan, a 50:50 joint venture between British Land and AustralianSuper, working in partnership with Southwark Council to create a new town centre for London. This morning, Alexandra Houghton, our newly announced Head of Commercial, joined the panel at BDO UK LLP’s Women in Real Estate breakfast seminar in conjunction with Real Estate Balance, for an inspiring discussion exploring 2025 real estate trends, and the pivotal role of diversity in navigating and shaping the future of the sector. During the session, the panel shared personal experiences from throughout their careers, providing valuable insights into challenges they have faced and overcome, and highlighting ways in which the power of diversity and inclusion can be harnessed to help foster an industry that reflects the needs of everyone in society.

This time last week, we welcomed over 800 colleagues from our 34 offices to Birmingham’s ICC arena for our inaugural firmwide Collaboration Day. This fantastic event brought our team together from across the country to connect, engage, and share insights as we embark on our five-year business growth strategy, while also celebrating the best aspects of our culture and values.
