📽️ Water Row, Govan Take a closer look at the 92-unit development which has transformed the Govan and Clydeside region of Glasgow. Carbon Futures was appointed by Govan Housing Group back in 2018 to develop an energy and sustainability strategy for the Water Row masterplan. Our involvement included various in-depth design team workshops together with detailed analysis at each stage of design to help inform the energy strategy. From an energy and sustainability perspective, Water Row has been future-proofed to perform well beyond the latest building standards by featuring an enhanced building fabric together with a range of low-carbon and renewable technologies that will help to reduce energy consumption and create a thermally comfortable environment for occupants. Having supported Water Row from concept through to completion, this landmark development is a fine example of what can be achieved through early design team engagement and collaboration. We’re expanding! We recently collected the keys to our brand new office space at The Whisky Bond, Glasgow. This area will primarily be used for meetings, creating more desk space in our existing office for incoming team members. With electrical work, painting and decorating scheduled to take place in the coming weeks, we are excited to transform the space and look forward to its official opening at our staff get-together next month… #energy #sustainability #buildingperformance #consultancy #growth #expansion #hybridworking #officespace

📣 Effective from today, Ofgem’s energy price cap has risen by 6.4%. This change will see the average annual energy bill increase by over £100, an unwelcome hike, especially with council tax bills and travel costs also mounting. Whilst we can't control fluctuations in the price of energy, we can help to cap the amount of energy our homes and buildings consume. For many years, our team has been working across various sectors to help our clients understand the operational energy demand of their assets. Our modelling process delivers invaluable insight into the predicted energy consumption; providing clients with crucial data on the available options for improving energy performance. As we transition from fossil fuels to electricity as the dominant fuel source for heating and hot water, this knowledge on energy demand and consumption can help guard against fluctuating energy prices, whilst also meeting the country’s decarbonisation targets. ➡️ Ready to collaborate on your next project?
