Thank you to all who came along to this special fundraising evening at Embassy Gardens, held in partnership with Club Rossie / Roscommon GAA, a charity supported by Ballymore's Group Chairman and CEO, Sean Mulryan, for 25 years. It was a privilege to welcome so many respected figures from Ireland and the UK raising €175,000 on the night.
It was a real honour to be part of the celebration of one of Irelands greatest business people Sean Mulryan of Ballymore in London earlier this month. Sean has supported Roscommon GAA for 25 years and has made an exceptional contribution to many charities in Ireland, not least the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation. The event, organised by the Club Rossie / Roscommon GAA team and Ballymore gathered together leading business figures from Ireland and the UK in Embassy Gardens, one of Ballymore’s superb developments in London. The event had a dual function - to celebrate Sean’s 25 years of support and to fundraise for the Dermot Earley Centre of Excellence, an ambitious project to develop 22 acres in Roscommon town. €175,000 was raised on the night and Ballymore’s supply chain attended the event and pledged their expert advice and fit-out contribution services to the Dermot Earley Centre of Excellence. We were delighted to be joined by Ambassador of Ireland to the UK Martin Fraser, chair of the Irelands Funds of GB Bridget Walsh, the CEO of the Ireland Funds Katie Jemmett, Paul Earley, Michael English, Owen Killian, Pat King, founder of King & Moffatt Building Services and title sponsors of King & Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park to name but a few. Imelda May stole the show! Thanks to the team in Ballymore especially Hayleigh O'Farrell and Roisin Iremonger for their work with us on this initiative as well as Sally Hawkins, Harry Anderson and Harriet Shearer in the The Communication Group plc and of course Darby’s in Embassy Gardens. Being part of the Roscommon GAA / Club Rossie team (Brian Carroll, O Connor David, Thomas Carthy, John Mee, John O'Connor, Brian Mullin, PAT COMPTON) to organise this event and MC’ing on the night was very enjoyable. UK donations to support the Dermot Earley Centre of Excellence can be made through The Ireland Fund of Great Britain.
