After six years of growing the business in the #LondonMarket, AGR CEO Nate Mathis is heading back to Charlotte to lead Amwins Access, taking over from David Lavins as President. Since Nick Abraham joined us in London at the start of 2025, we've seen a smooth transitional period in the change of leadership, and we're grateful to both Nick and Nate (and Jordana Marston!) for the continued commitment to upholding the company culture here at Amwins Global Risks, all while continuing to drive the business and thrive in our markets. We're wishing you all the best of luck in Charlotte, Nate, and as you've said yourself, this is not a 'goodbye' but a 'see you again, soon'. Thank you, it's been a pleasure having you here.

March has been a busy month, with students from universities across the US visiting Amwins Global Risks to get a feel for the #LondonMarket and learn a bit more about career paths in insurance. We're always happy to facilitate networking events and learning opportunities for young people, and the students from Florida State University, Appalachian State University, University of Southern California and Missouri State University were a bright bunch with promising futures ahead – hopefully, in the #InsuranceIndustry! Thank you to our Learning & Development and Marketing teams, as well as our graduates and volunteers (especially Nick Abraham, Jack Miller, Thomas Graham, Keith Trivitt, Connor Rudd Dip CII, Owen Arbuckle, Alpine Umutoni, Olivia Odunjo-Climent and Tito Sobola), for sharing your time and expertise with our visitors. We've been sharing our colleagues' stories about changing roles at the company to highlight just how important their career development is to us. Following Chloe Thompson's experience changing roles, we have Jack Boxall's switch from HR to MGA & Portfolio Solutions, where he was able to leverage his experience and knowledge as a Data Analyst in HR and apply it to his new position as a Broker Analyst. After four years in HR, Jack needed a new challenge. He enjoyed data analytics work for HR, and felt that a lot of the skills he had learned along the way could be applied in a different role at AGR. He then became aware that AGR's MGA & Portfolio Solutions team was looking for someone who had a background in data analytics, so he met with the team and the fit felt right for everyone. Jack now works on the team full-time, improving and streamlining the forecasts and insights they provide for their clients. Change is good! That's why we're highlighting changes in roles here at Amwins Global Risks that have allowed our colleagues to develop in their careers. Following Zach Antoniou, the next story we have to share is Chloe Thompson's 👇 Chloe started on the UK Motor Fleet team as a Technician back in 2018, then progressed to handling smaller renewal accounts as she got more experienced over time. Chloe was doing great work, but she realised how natural it felt to connect and communicate with people, so became curious about honing those skills from a different side of the business. She is now a Senior Business Assistant, playing a crucial part in all coordination and client relationship management. It’s important to us that our employees feel satisfied in their roles, to ensure they’re developing new skills and gaining experiences that allow them to grow both professionally and as people. Following Harriet Boulding's story about transferring, we have Zach Antoniou's journey from Finance in our Group Support Team to broking for the AGR Marine team. Zach has been at AGR since 2017. Starting as a Finance Business Partner, he enjoyed working closely with brokers and collaborating across teams. After some time, Zach received feedback that he’d make a good broker himself, and by the summer of 2023 realised he was interested in exploring this side of the business. Fast forward a few years, he now sits on the Marine team, continuing to develop his people skills and technical knowledge of broking, and happy he made the role change now that he's settled in it. Here at Amwins Global Risks, we’re proud of the opportunities we offer our team. Just like we do for our clients, we work with our employees to find a solution that’s right for them. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing the stories of some of our team members who’ve stayed at Amwins but gone through a transition – whether it’s a new role or team, a new city or country, or a change to working pattern. The first story we'd like to share is Harriet Boulding's 👇 Harriet is a Senior Associate Broker for the Professional Lines team at Amwins' Chicago office. She previously worked in the Professional & Financial Risks division at AGR, but realised she was craving an exciting change in scenery, as she had previously lived and worked abroad, and loved the experience. She was able get a transfer to the US, as she emphasised how much she loved the culture at Amwins, and that even though she wanted to leave the country, she didn't want to leave the company.
