This week at Movo, we are proudly celebrating World Down Syndrome Week, raising awareness and championing inclusivity in a fun and meaningful way. Today, all Movo teams are showing their support by donning odd socks, and bold ties, and bringing a splash of colour to the workplace, reminding ourselves that being different is something to be embraced and celebrated. For many of us at Movo, this cause is also personal. Craig, our Financial Controller, shares how his daughter Zoe, who has Down syndrome, inspires him and his family daily. "Every challenge Zoe has faced, from social acceptance to education and everyday tasks we often take for granted, she has met head-on with a smile. She brings sunshine to our days with her determination and bubbly personality. We wouldn’t change a thing about her, it’s great to be different." Sarah, our senior claims negotiator, echoes this sentiment when talking about her niece: "She has brought joy to us every single day since the day she came into our lives. We couldn’t imagine life without her infectious laughter, happiness, and love of life have shaped our family for the better." Today is a celebration of unique perspectives, joy, and light that people with Down syndrome bring to the world. It’s about creating workplaces and communities where everyone belongs. So, we’re wearing our odd socks and colourful ties with pride and smiles on our faces!
