Thank you to everyone who attended the Integrating Physical Activity into Health and Care event in London yesterday. It was fantastic to have more than 160 delegates representing both the sport and physical activity and the health and care sector coming together. A big thank you to our partners Sport England and NHS Horizons who helped to organise the event. #ActivePartnerships #PhysicalActivity #UnitingTheMovement

Working with partners to make an active lifestyle the norm for everyone
About us
Our core purpose is to create the conditions for an active nation. There are 43 Active Partnerships across England who work collaboratively with local partners to create the conditions for an active nation using the power of sport and physical activity to transform lives. Active Partnerships are strategic organisations that recognise activity levels are affected by a complex system of influences and no single organisation or programme create sustainable change at scale. So by adopting a collaborative whole system approach, Active Partnerships seek to make active lifestyles the social norm for everyone and address the worrying levels of inactivity in society. The Active Partnerships national team leads, represents and supports the nationwide network of Active Partnerships and supports them to collaborate, sustain, add value and deliver impact. We are a charitable company and have a federated structure. You can find details of your local Active Partnership at www.ActivePartnerships.org

Last month, colleagues from across the #ActivePartnerships network came together to explore how we can build momentum in our collective drive to address racism and racial inequality. Since the launch of our network commitment, following the horrific murder of George Floyd, we've made progress, but we recognise there is still so much to do. A huge thank you to Jahaan Abdurahman from the Innovation Unit for brilliantly facilitating our discussions. The day was filled with discussions about valuable ideas and opportunities to ensure this vital work continues. By working together as a collective, we hope to amplify our impact, sharing learnings, expertise, and actions to drive meaningful change. A special thanks to Sport England for their ongoing support in shaping and developing this work. #ActivePartnerships #TacklingRacism #Equality #Inclusion #Collaboration
