  • We are witnessing a rise in hybrid living post-pandemic, where the lines between travel, work, and lifestyle are increasingly blurred. Today’s travellers seek a hospitality experience that transcends the ordinary — a place where they can live, work, play and “vibe in”. lyf delivers exactly that, inviting guests to "live your freedom." With vibrant spaces designed to spark conversations and foster connections, lyf properties offer experience-led social living with the perfect balance of personal space and communal experiences. Guests can also stay “plugged in” to the local scene through curated experiences organised by each property’s Ambassador of Buzz. As Adeline Phua, Managing lyf Partner, shared with Jonathan Worsley, Chairman & CEO, The Bench, the brand is well-suited for the growing population of next-generation travellers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who desire a unique type of stay. Whether for short or extended stays, lyf stands out from the typical hotel experience, appealing to an audience that wants to stay connected and engaged throughout their travels. • With India's dynamic landscape unlocking immense opportunities for the travel and hospitality sectors, we have our sight set on doubling our India portfolio to 12,000 units by 2028, alongside a commitment to grow India as a key outbound source market for The Ascott Limited. This was announced at the 20th Hotel Investment Conference - South Asia (HICSA) in Mumbai this week, where Ascott's development team was present, and our Chief Executive Officer Kevin Goh delivered a keynote on the topic of ‘Redefining Global Living’. Riding on a strong growth momentum in the first quarter of 2025, we've inked three new signings across key Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities of Goa, Lucknow and Thanjavur - 𝘖𝘢𝘬𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘋𝘰𝘯𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘶𝘭𝘢 𝘎𝘰𝘢, 𝘖𝘢𝘬𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘫𝘢𝘷𝘶𝘳 and 𝘖𝘢𝘬𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘌𝘬𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘚𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘻 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸. These signings not only strengthen our presence in existing markets like Goa, but also mark our debut in new cities as we commit to providing culturally immersive stay experiences in key emerging destinations and high-potential markets across India. Driving a dual focus on both geographic and brand expansion, we look forward to also introducing more of our brands to the market. Tapping on the rise of India’s urban millennial and Gen Z workforce, along with the growing digital nomad trend, our experience-led social living brand, lyf, aligns perfectly with the demand from India's next-gen travellers for flexible, community-focused stays. Collection brands such as The Unlimited Collection and The Crest Collection are also poised to meet the growing appetite for immersive cultural and heritage experiences in India. Find out more about how Ascott is leveraging our flex-hybrid model to meet shifting demand and our multi-typology brand strategy to deliver more of our brand experiences in India: https://lnkd.in/dUUPu9E7 #TheAscottLimited #Hospitality #Growth #StayYourWay #HICSA2025 #India

  • Hospitality is no longer just about providing a place to stay – at The Ascott Limited, it’s about creating spaces that connect with the way people live, work, and engage with the world around them.   Behind the design and architecture of our properties at Ascott, is a team of multi-disciplinary professionals led by Teng Wui Leong, Chief Design & Technical Officer. Charged with overseeing the design and technical standards across the company's global portfolio, which spans serviced residences, hotels, resorts, social living properties and branded residences, Teng Wui plays an integral role in delivering Ascott’s multi-typology brand strategy and standards through cutting-edge hospitality designs that optimise guest experiences and space efficiency.     In a recent interview with The Peak Singapore, he shared his thoughts about how hospitality has evolved, and with that, the need to shape spaces that go beyond functions. With over 27 years of experience in international design and development management, from urban planning to architecture, Teng Wui brings an urban planner’s mindset to the table, viewing each property as part of an ecosystem that brings people together. He likens urban planning and design of districts and neighbourhoods, to the design of hotel properties he works on.    From preserving the heritage of Singapore’s riverside at The Robertson House by The Crest Collection, to creating socially vibrant spaces for next-generation travellers at lyf properties, Teng Wui sees design as a blend of philosophy and innovation – guided by the Vitruvian principles of quality, utility, and beauty, with sustainability added as a vital fourth pillar. With wellness, blended travel, and ESG at the forefront, brands like Citadines and Somerset continue to evolve to meet the needs of today’s travellers.   While the Ascott Innovation Hub remains as an experimental space for him and his team to test ideas and concepts, Teng Wui reiterates the importance of ensuring our properties preserve a sense of place and purpose for our guests.    Hear more from Teng Wui as he shares how he uses design to structure a better world to live in: https://lnkd.in/gsgWhcyg   #TheAscottLimited #Innovation #Hospitality #Design #Travel

"lyf is defining the space, which isn't just a matter of adding co-working facilities and services; but creating a new lodging product altogether. " - Serena Lim, Chief Growth Officer, The Ascott Limited.    What began as a bold experiment in 2016, is now a flourishing portfolio of social living properties under the 𝗹𝘆𝗳 brand. With 35 properties across 24 cities in 13 countries, lyf has proven itself to be a brand that not only caters to the growing demand from travellers for experience-led social living, but also one that unlocks new revenue streams for its owners.    Last month, Serena Lim and Adeline Phua, Managing lyf Partner, sat down with Raini H. from Hotel Investment Today, to discuss the evolving segment of coliving and how our lyf brand has set its sight on staying ahead of the curve with its own definition - not of coliving, but social living.   The brand's adaptability across geographical boundaries both in cities and resorts, alongside an efficient staffing model has played a big part in the growing interest we have seen from our owners in the lyf brand. Capturing market demand with a brand emphasis on experience-led social living, supported by flexible spaces and dynamic programming, lyf properties have been able to drive positive ADR and occupancy growths in short lead times from opening. The increased tradability of lyf properties further reflects the added value that the lyf brand brings to our owners' assets.    Find out more in this story on Hotel Investment Today, and learn how lyf continues to 'live it up' in its next phase of growth: https://lnkd.in/gqhbiuDN #TheAscottLimited #lyf #liveyourfreedom #SocialLiving
