With India's dynamic landscape unlocking immense opportunities for the travel and hospitality sectors, we have our sight set on doubling our India portfolio to 12,000 units by 2028, alongside a commitment to grow India as a key outbound source market for The Ascott Limited. This was announced at the 20th Hotel Investment Conference - South Asia (HICSA) in Mumbai this week, where Ascott's development team was present, and our Chief Executive Officer Kevin Goh delivered a keynote on the topic of ‘Redefining Global Living’. Riding on a strong growth momentum in the first quarter of 2025, we've inked three new signings across key Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities of Goa, Lucknow and Thanjavur - 𝘖𝘢𝘬𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘋𝘰𝘯𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘶𝘭𝘢 𝘎𝘰𝘢, 𝘖𝘢𝘬𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘫𝘢𝘷𝘶𝘳 and 𝘖𝘢𝘬𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘌𝘬𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘚𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘻 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸. These signings not only strengthen our presence in existing markets like Goa, but also mark our debut in new cities as we commit to providing culturally immersive stay experiences in key emerging destinations and high-potential markets across India. Driving a dual focus on both geographic and brand expansion, we look forward to also introducing more of our brands to the market. Tapping on the rise of India’s urban millennial and Gen Z workforce, along with the growing digital nomad trend, our experience-led social living brand, lyf, aligns perfectly with the demand from India's next-gen travellers for flexible, community-focused stays. Collection brands such as The Unlimited Collection and The Crest Collection are also poised to meet the growing appetite for immersive cultural and heritage experiences in India.
