Looking back to our APS Global Physics Summit trip in March! We touched down in Anaheim, California with Singapore’s largest ever contingent for Quantum in Singapore booth at the American Physical Society Global Physics Summit 2025. More than 40 representatives from the National Quantum Office, Centre for Quantum Technologies, Quantum Engineering Programme (QEP), National Quantum Federated Foundry (NQFF), National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH), National Quantum Sensor Programme (NQSP) and National Quantum Processor Initiative (NQPI) came together to share with the world about the Quantum Ecosystem in Singapore from 17 to 21 March 2025. The contingent was busy with daily talks and conversations on latest scientific developments in physics including quantum technologies, as well as to find out more about relevant career and education opportunities in Singapore. There was also the ‘Singapore Startup Stage’, held at the Quantum in Singapore booth, which featured talks from RAQS Consulting, Entropica Labs and AQSolotl, some of the brightest startups shaping the quantum industry. NQO is delighted to welcome the US State of New Mexico delegation to Singapore! Led by the US State of New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, the delegation visited NQO, led by Executive Director Mr Keok Tong Ling, to learn more about Singapore's National Quantum Strategy, discuss about the quantum landscape in both countries and look into possible collaborations with Singapore this morning. New Mexico is a hub for quantum science and technology development, driven by a combination of federal and state initiatives, academic excellence, and industry partnerships. We are thrilled to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and the National Quantum Office (NQO).    This collaboration aims to explore and promote research and development in the field of quantum technologies and its ecosystems. The MoU was signed by Mr Antoine Petit, President of CNRS and Mr Keok Tong Ling, Executive Director, National Quantum Office.   "The signing of this MoU with CNRS is a pivotal step towards the next bound in quantum technologies development. By focusing on Quantum Energetics and Quantum Photonics, we are set to transform our understanding of the interplay between energy, noise and performance to develop energy-efficient quantum technologies, while also advancing the development of next-generation quantum communication and networking technologies. This collaboration is about achieving groundbreaking innovations that will pave the way for sustainable and transformative quantum solutions. We had a fantastic day two at the Quantum in Singapore booth yesterday with plenty of great conversations and new connections made! The Singapore Startup Stage showcased some of the most exciting quantum startups from Singapore, demonstrating their work and how they are shaping the industry. It was wonderful engaging with industry collaborators on their advancements as we explored opportunities for collaboration to drive innovation forward. Through our National Quantum Programmes, the National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH) and National Quantum Federated Foundry (NQFF) serve as key platforms, fostering industry partnerships and supporting the development of cutting-edge quantum technologies, highlighting Singapore’s commitment to advancing the global quantum ecosystem. We also enjoyed connecting with many who shared with us their fond memories of living in Singapore and learning more about career and research opportunities at the National Quantum Scholarships Scheme (NQSS) Graduate Fair. Announcing the Quantum Sensing Centre (QSC)! The QSC will be a collaboration between Ministry of Defence of Singapore and the National Quantum Office, managed by DSO National Laboratories.
